Zombies in the 932
During the 9:32 service this past Sunday, Pastor
Jeremy mentioned zombies at the beginning of his sermon. Toward the end, it struck me how they were
exactly how he described sin, as “dead things that have been given life.” In
popular entertainment, people battle zombies but I think we battle sin the same
way. Sin can track and hunt us, slowly
or with speed, and we stop it only when the head is removed, where the thoughts
reside that keep us from breaking free of it.
This living death would seek to feed upon us until there is nothing left
or we become part of the mindless herd, a part of the problem. The alternative
is to fight, to fight these dark things that would extinguish the LIFE within. We must never cease the fight. In the end, we don't truly fight
with each other or humanity, but with death. RAK CHAZAK AMATS!
