A Prayer for You

Beloved of God,

A prayer for you this morning:

Father God, I don't know what people are waking up with today.  Is it worry over finances or health?  Frustration over discord? Praise upon their lips for provision? Gratitude for resolution? Sadness over loss? Discontent from sin? It's not mine to know, Father, but yours. I pray that whatever state the heart is in, God, that the eyes are set upon heaven and the feet fall behind You. Father, for the weary, provide rest. For those who are holding their breath, give them reason to exhale. For those in praise and gratitude, may it be shared for the growth and glory of Your Kingdom. Jesus, relax the furrowed brows. Holy Spirit, share your wisdom and discernment. Lord, for a moment, shorten our vision, lessen the noise and shrink time, that we may sit quietly in Your presence.
Father, in your mercy and grace, thank you for the forgiveness of our transgressions.  Lord, we call upon Your strength in our weakness, growth where we are stagnant.  We trust Your ways over our ways, Father.  Help us live that way.  With thanks and praise, we lay this prayer at the foot of the cross. In Jesus' mighty and holy name, amen.
