God Heals

Brothers and  Sisters, who are loved by God...

God is many things to me:
-My Heavenly Father
-Loving Discipline
-My Moral Compass
-The GodHead, Jesus and the Holy Spirit
-My Guide in the wilderness, Light in dark places and Living Water when I thirst
...He is what I need when I need it.

When it comes to my pain, God is a Gentleman. He doesn't force me to look at the ugly things in my past without setting a foundation of trust. Only when I'm ready does He take my hand and lead me to it. (Now I would say here that there are times God is prompting me toward healing and I don't FEEL ready. This is where that "foundation of trust" has to kick in. When He says, "I'm not leaving you like this", it's time to get going.) He assures me we'll face it together and lends me His strength. He sits with me inside of it so it can be examined in safety and He speaks purpose and assurances into that pain. He makes it count through redemption.

I've done a lot of work with God but I still have a long way to go. I spent so much of my life being broken along the way, that finding those parts and putting them back together in the right way will take time. I know pain can be part of life and that new things will hurt me. The difference is now I'm equipped to handle them in ways I wasn't before.  I KNOW He is WITH me and FOR me.
