Jesus, Not the Mistakes
"....He chooses to see Jesus, not our mistakes"
This hit me between the eyes today. When we accept Jesus Christ, to God, we take on the appearance, the fragrance, the forgiveness of His son Jesus. That's not to say we ARE Jesus or that we can ever touch His level of perfection but we become God's beloved. When we love His son, we endear ourselves to the Creator. With my being a visual person it helps me to think about wearing the "disguise" of Jesus. Not as a mode of deception or hiding but as a reminder of who I represent, of who people should see first. As I think about "wearing" Jesus for others, it helps to remind me to walk with His grace, His healing, His forgiven nature, His defenses from the enemy, His mercy, His access to God and His desire for all to come to know the Father.
Oh, to see God's children through the eyes of Jesus. We could know how to speak into the hurting, we would know what illness needed a hand of healing, we would see the heavenly Spirit and not the broken flesh and we would know perfect LOVE. Oh, Father, bring down heaven and heal Your world. Bless our fellowship, that it would help us draw closer to You, in the mighty name of Jesus. AMEN.
