3:33 Art

On August 1, 2010 our Wednesday night class, "Growing Closer", CRACKLED with the Holy Spirit (it always does but in my opinion, this particular night will stand out as one of the most memorable):

-My husband, Mark, had been praying to hear something personal from God. That night he shared the revelation of seeing a tree in the digital 52 on his clock then seeing the cross in the overhead light in our bedroom.  (As Mark relays the story now, the time he saw on the clock was 2:52, or as he says it "To Life", with the tree being symbolic of LIFE. )

-Our dear friend, Jody, upon hearing Mark talk about his tree shared with us that she'd  prayed the following verse over her father before coming into class, a night where she almost decided not to walk through the doors:

He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.  (Jeremiah 17:8)

-It was the first night Jody and I realized our fathers both had terminal cancer and we would continue to minister to each other in the upcoming year as we both lost our fathers, hers later in the year  and mine in June of 2011.

After I got home later that night I felt so fully PRESENT with God and started to draw.  My daughter, Marianne, had been drawing with dots and it would influence what I did in my own drawings.  The interesting thing about this was that I've never been inclined to draw before but over the next few months, I wouldn't be able to stop.  You will see that I've had no formal training but there were things I needed to say with my little Sharpee markers and it flowed for awhile.  My last drawing was done on June 5th, 2011, the day my dad passed away.  I've tried to draw a few times since but can't quite get my hands to go there anymore.  I enjoyed it while it lasted, and miss it very much.  With your kind indulgence I'll share those pictures as I continue to blog.

This was my first, "Fruit of the Spirit", August 1, 2010  (Note:  I signed all my pictures MR 3:33, once at the bottom - for me - and once at the top, for God. 3 is for the Trinity and 33 being the age Jesus died.  This number continues to be significant to me and I look forward to sharing a particularly great story in an upcoming picture, also having to do with Jody.)

Marianne did this drawing while I was drawing mine.  According to Marianne, The colorful balls are fruit and the rocket ship on the grass is trying to get to the fruit. (I LOVE this)...The line coming from above is God fishing for the fruit.
